Pidy Clean Program Reflects Consumer Demand for Natural Ingredients
European patisserie specialist, Pidy, has created updated recipes for several of its most popular product families to reflect its ongoing Clean initiative.
Launched in 2022 in response to increased consumer demand for natural food products, Pidy’s Clean program aims to simplify recipes, using ethically-sourced, high-quality raw ingredients and eliminating additives and other E-numbers. To transparently communicate these improvements, Pidy’s new product brochure denotes all products that have benefitted from a revised recipe with a green ‘C’.
Fabien Levet, Commercial Manager at Pidy UK explains why the program is so important:
“In an ever-evolving industry, caterers must be aware of shifting consumer demand. The popularity of natural products and the decline of processed food has only gained traction in recent years, with the likes of M&S’s ‘Only… Ingredient’ range being a prime example. Pidy has been ahead of the curve with this trend, having been working on revised recipes that maintain the signature crispy, golden, buttery finish we’ve become famous for, while keeping only the best raw ingredients in play. We believe it's important to highlight this progress so our customers can make informed decisions and pass on these credentials to interested consumers.”
Pidy is on track to have Clean versions of every single product by 2027. Combined with their Green program, the initiative demonstrates Pidy’s commitment to remaining a responsible supplier.
