Warm the syrup slightly before soaking—not boiling, just warm enough to absorb better. Place the soaked savarin on a rack over a tray for a few minutes. This ensures excess syrup drips off and prevents the dessert from becoming too wet. After filling and decorating, chill the savarin for at least 30–60 minutes.
